Oracle EBS has an enormous footprint with Enterprise Customers and with the advent of Cloud, there are many businesses looking to migrate to Cloud SaaS products. Obviously, businesses have strong reasons to move to the cloud but most of the migration path will require the on-premise applications to still run till business processes are moved to SaaS in a phased manner. This necessitates the need for Cloud Integration with On-premise EBS and the need for Oracle EBS integration Interfaces.
Letโs talk about the Integration Options with EBS.

Inbound to EBS
When transactions from other systems like Oracle cloud ERP has to be sent to Oracle EBS , the transaction becomes inbound to EBS.
To Send to EBS the options are
- Open Interfaces
- Concurrent Programs
- Custom PLSQL
- XML Gateway
- WebServices
So whenever you are looking for sending data to EBS you should see if there are standard open interfaces or Webservices for those business objects exposed via Integrated SOA Gateway.
When you are using some middleware tool like SOA Suite or OIC or MulteSoft you should also look out for adapters in EBS if its supported by the middleware.
Most of the interfaces of EBS will be exposed in the EBS adapter and that can be utilized for inbound transactions to Oracle EBS.
The Integrated SOA Gateway List all the Interfaces available for a module and has easy search options to find the available interfaces.
OutBound from EBS
When you need to send transaction to any other application like SAP Cloud, Oracle OM cloud etc. you can use options like
- EBS Business Events to trigger
- Call external web services from EBS DB, concurrent Program, Workflow
- Send data as a file to an FTP server to be read by a third-party application
- BI Publisher reports can also be used to send output extracts to a certain location
In case you are using a middleware like Oracle integration Cloud , mulesoft etc you can look for EBS adapter and see if the Business event subscription is available . The adapter gives you the best option in terms of usability and security.

EBS Adapter to read Business Events in OIC
For example with EBS adapter you can subscribe to business events in OIC and do outbound integrations. The payload from the Business event in EBS are generally very minimal with key values , You would need to enrich the payload to do further processing in the outbound processes.
